Who is eligible for Band participation? Any high school band student in good academic and disciplinary standing may be a member of the marching band. Color Guard participants are considered full members of the marching band (even if not in band class), and tryouts (including 8th graders, for 9th grade) are conducted in May

Color Guard Tryouts:
May 3-6 2010; 6:00-8:00pm; NHS Band Room
When do you practice? We practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-8:30 p.m. during the football season. The Color Guard and Percussion sections also rehearse on Mondays from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
What do you do at practice? We continue to learn, refine and perfect our competitive show.
What’s a competitive show? Custom designed drill and music performed during halftime at varsity football games as well as marching band competitions.
When is Band Camp? July 25th – July 30st, 2010 at Oxford College in Covington, GA
Who attends Band Camp? Every member of the marching band.
